Ascovime’s activities continues to grow year after year, answering to the most important right : access to health care and education.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2012- ASCOVIME PARIS

CONCERT WITH MEDICINE STUDENTS

The school year started with a great concert delivered by the marching band “Moktar Sound System”. The marching band consists of only medicine students and they know how to play good music! Thanks to all who came and to the medicine students!

We would like to thank every one who came to see the painter and drawer Issa Nyaphaga’s live performance during our last event “AET for Health and Education”. Togehter with the musicians Joëlle Esso, les Jumeaux de Masao and Komandant Simi Ol, Issa Nyaphaga gave us all an unforgettable evening.

HUMANITARIAN CAMPAIGN IN TWO VILLAGES

Ascovime went to two new villages, Yekoe Melok (Report in French) and Mebou (Report in French). They consulted more than 500 people. We always need your support to continue such activites. Click here.

CONCERT FOR ASCOVIME IN PARIS (SCENE BASTILLE)

More than de 200 people attend the amazing concert for Ascovime at the “Scène Bastille”. A great thanks to the artists Jean Jacques Berthieu, les Fam Fô and L’Eclaireur!

GO YAOUNDE & ASCOVIME

A partnership between an association from the south of France, “Go Yaoundé”, and Ascovime resulted in more than 400 free consultations, 36 pairs of glasses and 32 dental surgeries. You can find the report (in French)  here.

Ascovime keeps up its activities

Ascovime never stops. The president, Georges Bwelle, and his team has been to three different villages: MPAGNE (Report in English) MEKAS (Report in French) and EVINDISSI (Report in French).

GALETTE DES ROIS WITH ASCOVIME

Ascovime paris organized a Galette des Rois with more than 100 guests. Thank you for your participation at this yearly event.

Almost 10.186 people received free medical consultation and 516 had free surgery. We also gave away 706 pairs of glasses. Ascovime’s activities continues to grow year after year, answering to the most important right : access to health care and education.

SHOW AND TELL BY FRENCH VOLUNTEERS

Yet another successfull Ascovime event! A group of french medicine students, who spent their summer in Cameroon, organized a show and tell when they came back. We are thankful to see that the organisation is growing – more than 100 people shared the evening with us. Thank you for the nice time!

Campaign for Education

The end of 2011 was devoted to education. George Bwelle brought a team to the Extreme North, where they distributed birth certificates to children. This will allow them to enter in to high school. To read more about this successful campaign, click here.

Happy Birthday to Ascovime’s president George Bwelle!

Thanks to this great man, Ascovime has lately been involved in the education field, providing 274 birth certificates to children, and thereby allowing them to go to high school. Download the report here (in French).

CHARITY DINNER IN PARIS

Ascovime Paris has organized a Charity Diner to raise money for future campaigns and for a car that will facilitate the transportation of volunteers and equipment on our missions. 90 guests were present. Thank you for coming!

THE GIRL FROM KONKORONG

During the campaign to Doukoula, Ascovime’s team met an orphan girl from the village of Konkorong. She had a tumor in her jawbone. To get surgery she had to go to Yaoundé, 2000km from her village. The inhabitants of the village collect money to finance her trip. The surgery went well and she is now back in Konkorong. See the report from Dr. George Bwelle here: Report (in French).

DOUKOULA 2011

Discover the report from Doukoula (Report in English). 30 volunteers participated in one of Ascovime’s biggest campaigns ever. Close to 1900 people received medical consultation.

Ascovime Paris made a short reportage during the mission to Doukoula. If you are wondering how Ascovime works on the ground, this video well encapsulates it. Do not hesitate to share the video.

Six members from Ascovime Paris participated in the campaign to Doukoula. Thanks to your donation, Ascovime Paris could buy much needed drugs and medical equipment as a contribution to the campaign. You can see parts of it in the movie.

CONCERT WITH VARIETY GOSPEL & GALETTE DES ROIS

The Variety Gospel and Dance was a huge success. More than 450 people came to see the show organized by students from IUT in Carcassonne. We would like to thank the students from Carcassonne who did a wonderful job and who decided to donate the receipts from the show to Ascovime. We received more than 2.000 euro!

To celebrate the New Year, Ascovime Paris organized a cake sale (Galette des Rois) for friends, family, old members and hopefully some new ones. Discover the movie of the event (in French). We would like to thank everyone who came!

GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2010 – ASCOVIME PARIS

The president of Ascovime Paris held a presentation about Ascovime at a nursing school in Sens, France. Nurses are much needed during the medical campaigns. We hope to see some of the during the campaigns with Dr Bwelle

6 NEW MISSIONS

An active summer for Ascovime, conducting six missions in two months.

GENERATOR

Ascovime has raised enough money to buy a generator. It cost 2,500 euro, and will provide electricity for surgeries that are performed during the night.

MORE THAN 2000 CONSULTATIONS

Ascovime has conducted a total of seven missions in the following villages: Ngobissong, Tonga, Kouack, Bijombo, and Tala. More than 2000 people received medical consultation, 100 people were treated with surgical interventions.
